Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth (DE)

Food‑Grade Diatomaceous Earth (DE) is a fine, chalk‑like powder made from the fossilized remains of single‑celled algae (diatoms) harvested from ancient lake beds. Its microscopic, razor‑sharp particles absorb moisture from—and abrade—the outer “shell” of insects and parasites, causing them to dehydrate and die.

For dogs and cats, add DE at 2% of their daily food weight to help expel internal parasites. To treat external pests, sprinkle about ¼ cup into your pet’s coat, massage it in with gloved hands, then brush out after 10–15 minutes—ideally outdoors to avoid inhalation.
